I share the following for two reasons.  First, I think it is important to give credit where it is due.  Second,  I think other poets may want to try their hand at this poetry form.
Today I used the instant poetry form “Diamond” from Educational Technology Training Center (ETTC).  Here are the directions based on those I found on ETTC’s website:  Line 1, a noun opposite of the noun in Line 7.  Line 2, two adjectives describing the top noun.  Line 3, three verbs that the top noun does.  Line 4, four nouns that the top noun and the bottom noun both have.  Line 5, three verbs that the bottom noun does.  Line 6, two adjectives describing the bottom noun.  Line 7, a noun opposite of the noun in Line 1.  There isn’t a link directly to the “Diamond” template but you can find it by clicking on “Diamond” in the sidebar on ETTC’s site.
